Colin Betts (b. 1993) is a media composer located in Columbus, Ohio. He specializes in composition for video games, film scores and jingles. In 2015, he graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology.
He is a multi-instrumentalist with fluent command of clarinet, saxophone and guitar. His understanding and approach to composition has a sturdy foundation, rooted in his many years of educational experience in performance, music theory and sound engineering.
Some of his favorite video games growing up were classic titles from the Nintendo 64 including Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo Tooie and more. He cites Grant Kirkhope as one of his biggest influences in pursuing music as a career and also as one of his favorite composers. Other notable influences include James Horner, Koji Kondo, John Williams, Noriyuki Iwadare (Ace Attorney series), Mahito Yokota (Super Mario Galaxy series) and many more.
